Bandai announces: S.H. Figuarts Jay Kay action figure from Jamiroquai and preorders live

"What we're livin' in? Lemme tell ya" Bandai opened preorders for the S.H. Figuarts Jay Kay action figure from the band Jamiroquai. For those of us old enough to remember, this figure is based in the "Virtual insanity" music video (which was inescapable back in 1996) and comes with alternate expressions and paper craft sofas (2 one seaters and one 3 seater) to re-enact the music video. (good luck with the moving floors). The Tamashii Nations Instagram account announced the figure with a spectacular stop motion animation. ETA: Jan 2024. Get him at:

And here is the music video to jog down that 90's memory:

What we're living in?Lemme tell ya
Yeah, it's a wonder man can eat at allWhen things are big that should be smallWho can tell what magic spells we'll be doing for us
And I'm giving all my love to this worldOnly to be toldI can't see, I can't breatheNo more will we be
And nothing's gonna change the way we live'Cause we can always take, but never giveAnd now that things are changing for the worse, seeWhoa, it's a crazy world we're living inAnd I just can't see that half of us immersed in sinIs all we have to give these
Futures made of virtual insanity, nowAlways seem to be governed by this love we haveFor these useless, twisting, of our new technologyOh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground
And I'm thinking what a mess we're inHard to know where to beginIf I could slip the sickly ties that earthly man has madeAnd now every mother can choose the colorOf her child, that's not nature's way
Well, that's what they said yesterdayThere's nothing left to do, but prayI think it's time to find a new religion
Whoa, it's so insaneTo synthesize another strainThere's something in these futuresThat we have to be told
Futures made of virtual insanity, nowAlways seem to be governed by this love we haveFor these useless, twisting, of our new technologyOh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground, wow
Now there is no soundIf we all live undergroundAnd now it's virtual insanityForget your virtual reality
Oh, there's nothing so badAs a man-made manOh, yeah, I know, yeah (take it to the dance floor)
I know I can't go on
Of this virtual insanity we're living inHas got to change, yeahThings will never be the sameAnd I can't go onWhere we're living inOh, oh, virtual insanity
Oh, this worldHe's got to change'Cause I justI just can't keep going on in this virtual, virtual insanityThat we're living in, that we're living inAnd that virtual insanity is what is, yeah
Futures made of virtual insanity, nowAlways seem to be governed by this love we haveFor these useless, twisting, of our new technologyOh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground, oh
Futures made of, now, virtual insanityNow we all, we seem to be governed by a loveFor these useless, twisting, of our new technologyAnd now there is no sound, for we all live undergroundYes, we do, oh
now this life that we live in(Virtual insanity) it's all going wrongOut of the window (living in)Do you know there is nothing worse than (virtual insanity)
a man-made man(Virtual insanity) there's nothing worse than(Living in) a foolish man(Virtual insanity) hey!
Virtual insanity is what we're living in, yeahWell... It's alright
