Marvel Legends Thunderstrike review 6-inch Action Figure (Joe Fixit wave)

By Odin's beard, It's back to the 90's! As far as Thor characters go, we were overdue a Kevin Masterson figure for a long time, but is this figure worthy of the halls of your collection? read on and find out true believer!

Thunderstrike is part of the  Marvel Legends Joe Fixit wave, delivered to us courtesy of BBTS!

First, we take a quick look at the box which is your standard Marvel Legends fare:

Side artwork and bio with a quick look at the entire wave.

Out of the box, Thunderstrike includes the Thunderstrike mace, an alternate hand and Joe Fixit BAF head
Fixit head sports the photo real paint application, though not sure it was needed here. Nice touch though.

Here is our mandatory 4 point turnaround! The figure is full of cool unpainted details.

His Thunderstrike mace is a 2 part cast in flat gray plastic. The handle is the only one that received some paint.  His right hand sports a vertical hinge (The same they use on guns) Check the nice embossed "T" detail there.

Kevin's face looks like it belongs in the WWE line, but we take our victories where we can find them (Specially in 2020) His hair is flexible and has no paint washes or drybrushes. His vest is cast in flat plastic with painted buttons and clasp only.

And yes, the vest is fully removable. The circles on his chest are sculpted on, and decoed with a nice blue metallic. The belt is made of flat flexible plastic with no deco and is not glued on. It sits really tight and does not "float" around.

Note how his knees are sporting the new "pinless" articulation! Nice touch Hasbro. His arms though come with the conventional 2 pin system. The plastic quality is the same PVC we are used to, though is a bit shiny on the boots.

He includes 2 alternate left hands with lateral hinges, which are easily swappable. Careful with the bracelets though, they are -as usual- not glued on.

And here is the size comparison. Overall is a decent figure with almost no paint apps but is does not make it feel cheap. We are not going to tell you whether to buy you or not, but we liked what we got
He is a faithful representation of the 1993 comic book issue:
