Mafex reveals: Robocop 1 and 2 Renewal versions from earlier released action figures
Mafex opened preorders for two previously released Robocop figures, called "Renewal" versions. These are the exact same versions we got in 2018 and 2019 respectively, but have updated numbers in the collection with Robocop from the first movie being #225 and the one from the second movie being #226 (it was #74 in 2019). This is done as a workaround from a Japanese law that forbids surcharging on re-releases. By labeling them "Renewal" versions, they can update the pricing to reflect the 2023 costs. If you recall, the first Robocop was released in 2018 and had a cost of $50 to $60 and was numbered "67" in the collection whereas the renewal version costs $99.99 and is numbered "225".
