Hasbro’s Movie Street Fighter Figures Are Getting ABSOLUTELY TRASHED Online! (Jada still reigns supreme)

HASBRO DROPS STREET FIGHTER MOVIE FIGURES, AND THE INTERNET IS ABSOLUTELY TANKING THEM.

Just when you thought Hasbro couldn’t get any more detached from reality, they hit us with their latest reveal: a 6-inch 1:12 scale action figure lineup based on the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie. And to make matters worse for anyone actually wanting to suffer through buying these, they are all Walmart Exclusives.

The initial wave includes Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li (priced at $27.99 each), and an Akuma figure that somehow demands a bloated $39.99 price tag. Pre-orders are technically live right now on Walmart's site, with an estimated arrival date of October 1, 2026.

That is, assuming you actually want these things cluttering up your room.

We are given a small commission from the sales at no cost to you, so your patronage is appreciated!

The Internet Roast Session

The moment the promo shots dropped, collectors immediately dragged these figures to the absolute woodshed. Between the dead-eyed neutral face sculpts, plastic hair that looks like cheap spirit Halloween wigs, and questionable costume designs, people aren't even blaming Hasbro entirely—they're roasting the movie's wardrobe department, too.

Here is a quick tally of what fans are saying across social media and Reddit:

  • "They look like bootleg WWE wrestlers cosplaying as Street Fighters." (Honestly, WWE's actual crossover figures look more game-accurate than this). Fun fact: Roman Reigns plays Akuma

  • The Expressions: Every single character is staring into the void like they just realized how much money they blew on a liberal arts degree.

  • The Price Tag: Asking $28 to $40 for static face expressions and minimal accessories when Jada Toys is out here delivering absolute god-tier, hyper-articulated $25 Street Fighter figures is a level of corporate audacity only Hasbro could pull off.

  • Future Ross/Ollies Peg Warmers: Collectors are already placing bets on how fast these join the Eternals figures in the $5 discount bin purgatory.

The Details (If You Still Care)

If you're a completionist or just enjoy pain, here’s what’s in the boxes:

  • Ryu ($27.99): Standard gi, red headband, red gloves, a Hadoken effect piece with a stand, and swap hands.

  • Ken ($27.99): Sleeveless red gi, blonde hair piece that looks like a snapped block of instant ramen.

  • Chun-Li ($27.99): Blue qipao dress, spiked bracelets, and alternate hands.

  • Akuma ($39.99): Prayer beads, purple gi, giant price tag because apparently villain tax is real.

GEN’s Verdict

Hasbro took a property everyone loves, based it on a movie nobody asked for, priced it higher than superior competitors, and handed the distribution rights to Walmart—the black hole of toy logistics.

Unless you're planning on picking these up at Ross in six months for custom fodder, leave 'em on the pegs. Jada Toys remains undefeated.
