Rebuild of Evangelion S.H.Figuarts Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami Action Figures revealed!
Evangelion turns 30 this year! (Feeling old yet?) And Bandai has revealed a series of figures and mechas to commemorate the occasion. We are particularly interested in the S.H. Figuarts Rei Ayanami and Asuka since they are the first fully articulated figures that Bandai has ever made! Check the video below:
Evangelion action figures in all of their iterations has been made mostly by Revoltech and Figma with various degrees of success. We reviewed the Revoltech white plug suit Asuka last year which is great but is not the classic suit. In the past, Bandai has mostly made non articulated 5 inch figurines for their Gasha Portraits line, but these will be the first time Bandai will make articulated versions. Even better: they are in their classic white and red outfits from Rebuild.
S.H. Figuarts are sometimes hit or miss (like their Dandadan Momo Ayase figure which was a disaster) but we will be giving these two a chance. They have an ETA of January-February 2026. Get them at Entertainment Earth:
