GEN intel: Hasbro Renders Drop Retro Joes and a Destro That Doesn’t Suck

Hasbro finally threw us a bone today with some fresh renders for the G.I. Joe Classified 6-inch line. We’re getting more Retro Cardback fodder and a vehicle set that might actually be worth the shelf space.

The Retro Wave: Wild Bill, Techno-Viper, and Grunt First up, Retro Wild Bill is finally official. After months of leaks and "teases," Hasbro is giving us the cowboy pilot on a retro card. He looks like... well, Wild Bill. If you missed out on the HasLab Dragonfly version (or didn't want to pay a month's rent for it), this is your chance to get the 6-inch version without the plastic helicopter baggage. Joining him are Retro Grunt and a Techno-Viper. It's the usual "take the existing mold and slap it on a card for nostalgia" move, but they’re solid army builders if you’re into that.

The Showstopper: Iron Grenadier Destro & The Despoiler The real news here is Iron Grenadier Destro with the Despoiler. This is a Deluxe-level reveal. The render shows a beefy IG Destro paired with his signature flying throne. Honestly, the Despoiler looks like a beast, and if the final plastic holds up to the render, it’s going to be the centerpiece of every Cobra shelf.

The GEN Verdict: No word on pricing yet, but expect Hasbro to squeeze every cent out of these. They’re slated for later in 2026. We’re watching these closely—if the production versions show up with warped plastic or gummy joints, you’ll hear it here first.

Stay tuned to GEN for when the actual pre-orders go live. We mean what we say: if it’s crap, we roast it.
